Justin Harris, President CUPE 791 and Mona Bauman, Member at Large present the cheque for $1500 to Angela McCall of The Waterloo Region Food Bank from the proceeds of ticket sales from the CUPE 791 Christmas Party.  We were told that our donation would provide 4500 meals for the residents of Waterloo Region.  Thank you to all those who came out from the City of Kitchener and WWLHIN.

Ratification Update

I am pleased to announce that after today’s meetings and the final one at the Auditorium, the votes were counted and were in favour of ratification for the City of Kitchener inside workers.  Next step is to wait for council next Monday and we will have a new collective agreement!!  Big thanks to our national rep Jill Smyth and the entire bargaining team for the months of hard work.  Stay tuned to the website for more details.  The entire collective agreement will be uploaded once it has been updated to reflect all of the changes.
